Why use off-the-shelf barrier counting systems that need counts manually verified throughout the day? Why use Infrared, Lidar, Pucks, Ultrasonic or other cheap Space-by-Space Sensors ever again? Non-Camera systems don’t add to safety, security, and are not positioned for the future. Plus, they require the added expense of a complete lighting solution as well. Much like the hard-wired camera-based PGS systems. Those systems take a completely wired (power and control wiring) down the center….PLUS the addition of a separate lighting solution. Use of any of these sub-standard off-the-shelf products with a one-size-fits-all approach only increase your overall cost of materials and labor at installation. They result in unsightly, unnecessary, added conduit to your facility, negatively impact the performance of your long-term lighting-guidance, and ultimately negatively impact your future bottom-line.
On the other hand, installing one high-performance wireless LED lighting-guidance combo fixture down the center-drive lane allows you to cover multiple parking spaces with less overall costs. Introducing, the FALCON VISION® Integrated PGS, the ONLY wireless camera-based parking guidance system with integrated LED lighting and lighting controls on the market.
With FALCON VISION® Integrated PGS you receive a built-in, center-mount Type II lighting fixture that commandingly outperforms the multiple fixture options and results in a 40% reduction in fixture count and a huge decrease in installation costs due to less fixtures, less labor, and use of only one row of conduit instead of two or sometimes even three across as is typically done.
FALCON VISION® PGS also sees up to six spaces per sensor, three spaces on either side. This aggregation of space counting results in a huge cost savings. ECO Parking Technologies exclusive wireless camera-based PGS system enjoys the industry’s highest accuracy levels. The solutions we provide lead to increased energy efficiency, greater longevity, lower maintenance, increased safety and lower environmental impact.
So, besides… Quicker & Easier Installation; Lower Cost of Entry & Ownership; Better User Experience; Improved Safety & Security; Lower CO2 Emissions; and Faster ROI with Wireless; what else differentiates the power of FALCON VISION® Integrated PGS from competitors?
Edge Processing
Parking Guidance Systems are generating an ever-increasing variety, volume and velocity of data that must be processed and analyzed quickly, reliably and cost-effectively. Traditional centralized system architectures, where data is backhauled to and processed in a central enterprise data center or ‘in the cloud’, can’t meet the increased scalability and performance demands of our digital age. FALCON VISION® PGS does all its processing locally, using Edge Computing and does not rely on the cloud to make parking decisions. ECO Parking Technologies decentralized system architecture pushes data processing functions to the edge of the network to accelerate performance and contain costs.
Live-Streaming 64 Cameras
The process of keeping a watchful eye across a parking facility is a daunting task. And the fact is, traditional security systems have a hard time getting an unobstructed view of a key area where undesirable events can take place: in the parking spaces themselves. Yet individual space cameras become overwhelming to monitor. But now you can keep a watchful eye and augment security in a way no others can. ECO Parking Technologies integrated Shielded-LED Lighting Control & Wireless Vision-based Guidance System is able to monitor 6 spaces per camera view and capture all activity through up to 64 Live-Streaming cameras. Plus, using ONVIF protocol and Network Video Recorder (NVR) FALCON VISION® Integrated PGS can store video for long periods of time.
Advanced & Proven 99% Accurate
The development team at ECO Parking Technologies is one of the most educated and successful in the implementation of Vision Learning. Long involved with Vision Learning in precise manufacturing, this team is setting the bar in the parking industry in Vision Learning and Wireless Technology.
Wireless technology is the most advanced and least corruptible communication method for a PGS system today. Some may question the ability to transmit wirelessly while relying on a Mesh and WiFi network. Those same people will be watching hi-def videos on their one of 300M U.S. wireless smartphones while flying across the country today. Revolutionary minds of those like Thomas Edison had to deal with naysayers too. That’s why ECO Parking Technologies continues to lead the technology revolution in the parking industry.
Greater Quality Lighting
ECO Parking Technologies arguably provides the highest quality light fixtures on the market. Our revolutionary approach of installing one high-performing lighting-guidance fixture down the center drive lane to cover multiple parking spaces as opposed to multiple sub-standard lighting-guidance fixtures over the same parking spaces results in outstanding power and performance delivery at a lower cost and with nearly half the material and labor costs. Only ECO Parking Technologies can claim to have accomplished holding up to 8 footcandles when placing a single fixture down the center run of a parking structure at 18’, 24’, and 27’ apart (spacing fully depends on methods of construction).
Elegance & Indestructibility
Driven by technology, simplicity & creativity, ECO Parking Technologies merges the industrial and the elegant to engineer lighting solutions that are as beautiful as they are innovative. Modern design and contemporary design overlap to form modern-contemporary. Modern and contemporary design both share minimalist design elements, a mixture of materials, as well as clean and simple lines. Since there is such a controversy over the clear divide between modern and contemporary style, the combination of the two styles easily share some characteristics.
Angled assemblage. Intentional symmetry. Unique form. A fresh appearance. Open space within the design. The results are intelligent and iconic, simple yet expressive.
The camera-based FALCON VISION® Integrated PGS is also robustly designed to provide unyielding durability. For example, if an unhappy Penn State fan somehow reaches and damages a FALCON VISION® PGS after Pitt hits a game ending field goal (again), the system is designed for an immediate fix that does not require boots on the ground. That scenario could be resolved within an hour with FALCON VISION® PGS with no disruption to the remainder of the system within the garage. Heads of IT from universities to hospitals rave about the ruggedness and security of the wireless FALCON VISION® PGS.

5 Reasons to Switch to LED Lighting
Ranking second only to space heating, lighting accounts for nearly 20% of all electrical consumption among all building types. When isolated to only commercial buildings that number doubles. Find out how to reduce and save.
1. SAVE MONEY
The LED lamps that are used in our fixtures can directly replace older, higher wattage lighting technologies while providing a rated life of 100,000+ hours. That means you save money on reduced electrical consumption as well as drastically reduced replacement costs.
Electrical Consumption:
LED lamps use far less energy to light the same area as the older metal halide and high-pressure sodium technologies. This translates into cost savings of 40% or more, as seen in the chart below.
Maintenance Costs:
LED lamps have a rated life of 100,000 hours, which translates into more than 11 years of 24-hour light from a single lamp. No other technology can match LED for lamp life. Not only does this reduce the direct cost of the replacement lamps, but also the time and money used for labor to perform the replacements, as well as the cost of recycling. Average replacement projects save 80% or more in maintenance costs.
2. REDUCE ECOLOGICAL IMPACT
The LED lamps that are used in our fixtures can directly replace older, higher wattage lighting technologies while providing a rated life of 100,000. That means you save money on reduced electrical consumption as well as drastically reduced replacement costs.
Carbon Dioxide:
In 2008, the United States average emission rate was 1.33 pounds of carbon dioxide produced for every kWh of electricity consumed.* The chart below shows how much carbon can be reduced by using LED technology.
Mercury:
Along with carbon dioxide, mercury is emitted with every kWh consumed. Additionally, since most industrial lamps contain mercury, some is released into the environment if not properly recycled. The statistic used by the USGBC in their LEED criteria picograms of mercury per mean lumen-hour. This measurement takes into account the brightness of the lamp and its rated life. A rating of below 90 earns LEED credit.
3. LED PROVIDES BETTER LIGHT
Color Rendering Index (CRI) CRI is a measurement that determines how accurately light reflects the actual colors of the object it is illuminating. On a scale from 1 – 100, with 100 being the highest, LED lights score 80 – 85. MH scores 65 while HPS scores 21.
Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) CCT is measured in degrees Kelvin and measures the brightness of the source light, with 5000K being equal to daylight, which is the most widely used LED color temperature. This accounts for the white light that is seen with LED lamps as opposed to the yellow of high-pressure sodium.
4. IMPROVE SAFETY/DECREASE LIABILITY
More light and better light color from LED lamps increases the safety of your area, but as a business it does more. Increased lighting reduces risk of injury and crime, therefore helping to prevent lawsuits. While it is not entirely pleasant to think about, owners must take into account their bottom line.
LED lighting accurately portrays what is being lit With a high CRI/CCT, LED allows the human eye to see colors accurately. This is a problem with HPS and MH lighting. For example, since HPS gives off a yellow tint, a blue car could appear green to both human eyes and to video cameras. There, if something criminal should occur in the lit area, the video camera will not accurately portray the colors and descriptions that would be necessary to obtain correct information. Also, while the actual biological reactions are still being researched, multiple studies have shown that the human eye reacts more quickly and with greater detail when the source light has a high CRI and CCT, both of which LED lamps provide.
Fewer failure rates means more light more of the time Another benefit of having a 10x longer lifespan is that the area that is being lit has a higher probably of being lit. Another way of stating that is there is a much lower probably that an area will go unlit due to a blown bulb before maintenance replaces it. This lower probably of unlit areas means fewer darker areas, translating to a constantly lit and safe area.
5. SAVE MONEY WITHOUT UPFRONT COSTS
Our lease option allows customers to have new LED lights installed without any upfront costs. Instead, a reasonable monthly payment is made over 5 years. In most cases, the monthly payment is less than the money saved from switching to LED thus making you money in the process.
Assumptions for Calculations:
> 100 Fixtures
> 24/7 Burn Time
> 1 Year Analysis
> 26¢/kWh (US average)
5 Reasons to Switch to Wireless Mesh Guidance
The growing usage of wireless devices and services is staggering. But until Eco Parking Technologies, there wasn’t a wireless solution for Parking Guidance Systems. The advantages and benefits of a wireless system heavily outweighs what wire systems can provide.
OVERVIEW
Mesh WiFi is one of the hottest new technologies sweeping the United States. The concept is simple: Mesh WiFi extends the signal of your wireless router so you can get reliable Internet access anywhere in your business. This is exceptionally useful for people who work or live in an area that is:
> Larger than 2,000 sq. ft.
> Unusually shaped floor plans
> Built with internal walls that are thick, brick, or metal
> Built with internal or external areas that don’t have electrical service
Wireless Mesh Connected systems employ an intelligent networking design, in which all possible paths are available to transport data from one point in the network to another. This has a number of advantages over more traditional networks, in which everything has to connect directly via Wi-Fi to a small number of centralized internet access points. A wireless network also allows for easier and faster installation since the need to pull cable through walls and ceilings for fixed station terminations is eliminated. As such, adding or changing stations in the future becomes faster and more cost effective.
Mesh WiFi solves these problems by taking the radio signal from your WiFi router, capturing it, and rebroadcasting it with an improved signal strength. This naturally extends the area of WiFi coverage in your business, which also improves the reliability of your Internet connections overall. Now, instead of losing a signal in walled-in area, you can enjoy streamlined Internet connectivity
Let Us Connect You with 5 Reasons to Switch to Mesh Wireless Guidance
- RELIABILITY
The #1 reason to get a Mesh WiFi PGS is reliability. This refers to the reliability of your wireless Internet as a whole. Without Mesh WiFi, your location is prone to dead zones. Much like cellular dead zones, that means you don’t get the wireless service you need for your Internet-connected devices to work properly. That means you could lose a WiFi signal at any point, including in the middle of an app update or a product download. Mesh WiFi eliminates that possibility by taking your router’s original wireless signal and rebroadcasting it at its original strength. So while your router’s signal may only have a range of about 100 feet, your Mesh WiFi units — called “satellites” — can reproduce the signal to cover an entire building.
- NO MORE BOTTLENECK
Because a Mesh network provides multiple possible paths for transferring data from point A to point B, the network will preferentially use the fastest most efficient path. But if that path becomes blocked or congested for some reason, alternate paths can be and are used instead. This intentional redundancy at the information transfer level means improved network up-time since problems, if they arise, are more localized in their consequences rather that affecting the whole network. The “bottleneck” problem is avoided.
- COMPLETELY WIRELESS CONNECTION
In our Mesh network, Mesh nodes connect wirelessly to each other in an intelligent fashion. While in a traditional network all Wi-Fi access points need to be physically connected to the hardware internet access point, in a Mesh network, as long as one node is connected, all nodes will share this connectivity equally. It doesn’t matter where the connection point is as long as somewhere in the Mesh network there is physical access. Mesh nodes use existing Wi-Fi standards to communicate and you can keep adding them in any way you wish.
- IMPROVED FAILURE MODE HANDLING
So, many consultants will say “you need to design for failure.” If something does fail in the network, our Mesh network design means communications keep flowing even as the failing node is being repaired. A node going down that is in the most direct path between two points may have a slightly lower performance while it is repaired, but this is vastly preferable to the whole network being incapacitated while service is being performed. If you lose a light fixture, it takes 10 minutes to fix… and without boots on the ground!
- EASE OF NETWORK SCALABILITY
A Mesh network can be expanded more easily into new areas than a traditional network, it is precisely this flexibility that why Mesh networks have already become very popular in businesses applications, where there is no longer a need to have one-time large expenditures on networking expansion, when a more gradual enlargement – or contraction – of your network may be the better course of action. That’s another benefit of a Mesh system – as you retire components for any reason, you do not disable your entire network by taking some parts from it.
